Llegamos a Bocas del Toro, Panamá 🏝️🇵🇦

The journey and border control to Panama went really well 🤗 at first we were a bit unsure if everything was in order, because it didn’t look like official authorities at all. In an ordinary little shop, we paid the exit tax from Costa Rica and after crossing the bridge (border), we found only a container where we received our entry stamp for Panama 😄 but well - it worked out fine 👍🏼

In our opinion, Bocas del Toro is a MUST if you're vacationing in Panama 🤩 we had our accommodation on Isla Bastimentos, right by the water with hammocks and a really chill vibe 🥰☺️ From there, we could easily explore the surrounding islands (you can only get from A to B with water taxis, costing about $5 per person on average)

On the first day, we explored our own island and went swimming at Wizard Beach 🏝️

The next day was very changeable 🌦️ but Magge wasn't feeling quite well 🤕 so it was only half as bad that we spent the day at our accommodation.

Instead, we set off the following day to Isla Colón, the main island of Bocas. Upon arrival, we had a coffee ☕️ and then took the public bus to Starfish Beach, where we - as the name suggests - encountered numerous starfish 😍 it was truly beautiful! Surrounded by turquoise waters and the stunning starfish 🤗 In the evening, we had dinner on Isla Colón and managed to get back before it got completely dark (a bit scary on the sea when it's pitch black 😄)

On the last day, we took a water taxi to Isla Carenero, where we enjoyed the day in the sun to the fullest 🔆🌊👙🍹

On Sunday, we were picked up super early (5:30 AM 🥱) because we took the shuttle from Almirante to Panama City 🚌 The actual 10-hour bus ride unfortunately turned into 13 hours because we were stuck in traffic 😮‍💨 and so we arrived at our accommodation completely exhausted around 9:30 PM 😴 in hindsight, we should have just splurged a bit more for a flight - but you never know that in advance 😄
