Loen Skylift and onwards to Hellesylt

Today we took the Skylift up over 1,000m to Mt. Hoven 🏔️. Since I could already see the snow from below, I quickly dug out my thick winter jacket - completely unnecessary, as I discovered shortly afterwards 😅.

So far, this excursion is definitely our highlight! The view over the mountains, the lake, and the fjord is truly breathtaking, sooo beautiful 🥰. A really successful viewpoint with a large terrace, several small platforms, and a superb panoramic restaurant. And we were very lucky: sunshine, clear visibility, and NO cruise ship at anchor 😉

When we had seen enough and eaten enough, we went back down and headed to our next destination: the Geirangerfjord.

In Hellesylt, we set up camp (right by the water again 😍) and took the scooters to the small, tranquil village. Along the way, we discovered the dreamy waterfall.

Tomorrow, we will take the ferry across the Geirangerfjord to Geiranger 🚢

More than half of our vacation is now over. Only 3 points remain on our 'must-see' list, and then we will slowly head back home. But before that, we still have plenty of serpentine roads to conquer… 😅
