7. Day - day 7 (for english scroll down)

Travel day: got up at 3.45am... headed to Newark Airport. Quickly bought a few Bagels because apparently there is no snack on the 11-hour flight. Everything was going well until they couldn't close the cargo door... The captain's announcement was concerning: 'not sure what the problem is'!! Okay after 2 hours they let us stretch our legs. Another announcement from the Captain: 'if you need to scream at someone, I send my first officer to the front 😊' After 3 hours, we finally took off - hurray - only 11 hours left now. They somehow went by quickly and shortly afterwards we already had sand on our toes in Waikiki and found everything to be great. The additional 6-hour time difference took its toll, so after a little refreshment, we fell exhausted into bed. PS to Andrea & Claude: Hard to believe, but when we look out of the hotel window, there is a Wolfgang's right across! So no vegetarian vacation in Hawaii 😊
