Today I am lucky with the weather. It rains and is overcast. I can still have breakfast outside, but it's closing in.
Perfect for cycling and for me. I have become sensitive to light due to the antibiotics and need to avoid the sun. Actually, I should be wearing gloves since my hands are constantly exposed to the sun on the handlebars. At times, it burns like crazy and sometimes it also tingles on my skin like Ahoi Brause.
I set off around 9:00 AM and first head towards Himmelpfort. There I meet Bettina, who offers to accompany me to Lychen. Very nice, I think. But since she doesn't have nearly as much luggage as I do, to put it mildly, she actually has none at all since she lives in Lychen, she speeds ahead of me. I have to exert myself considerably not to be left behind, plus she is acting as the tour guide, from whom I only understand half of what she says due to the speed. I can hardly take any photos either. Still, I reach Lychen about 10 km away in half an hour instead of the planned time.
