On Tuesday, 19.11., I took a public bus to the airport in Kelowna in the morning to fly to Calgary. My flight was scheduled for 11.30 am, so I was at the airport from 10.00 am. Already on the way there, I received the first email that my flight was already delayed by 30 minutes, as the weather in Calgary was apparently not very good. Until I reached the gate, I was informed of another delay. In Calgary, the weather was apparently so bad that no planes from Kelowna had flown there yet that day. After another email, a few announcements, and many disgruntled passengers, we were finally able to take off at 2.00 pm with a delay of 2 1/2 hours.
When I arrived there, I saw the extent. A snowstorm had been raging over Calgary since the morning and had significantly impaired visibility. Nevertheless, my flight was good and we landed safely. Due to the delay, I missed the bus from the airport to the city, but the next one was already an hour later.
I arrived in Canmore, a city in the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, at 6.00 pm. After trudging through the snow for 1 km, I reached my hostel, where I warmed up first.
