And once again our alarm clock rang too early. At the beginning of our journey, we almost NEVER had to set an alarm, but that has changed recently. ☝️
Today's destination was Banlung, a small city in northeastern Cambodia. Another exciting bus ride was on the program. But this time not alone. Our 2-person travel group has grown into a 4-person travel group. After we already did our trip with a Dutch couple yesterday and got along great, they decided to join us for the next activity as well.
So we packed our bags. Actually, there was no space left and no space to store things, BUT we were wrong. There were more seats than seats and things were quickly attached on the outside of the back door. And off we went.
But after a short drive, we now heard noises coming from one of the stored boxes. A quiet 'bogbog'. At first, we didn't think much of it. We looked at each other puzzled and heard another 'bogbog'. The other part of our travel group also looked at the box and asked the driver what it was. He just answered 'chicken'. 🐓🐓.
There was actually a living chicken in the box, and it traveled with us for 6 hours to Banlung. Whether it survived or not - we don't know.
Then we drove to our next accommodation. An expat couple from France and England. Very nice to stay !!!
Afterwards, we took a little tour through the city and the region. Tomorrow we continue ...
For the next 3 days, we will be OFFLINE !!!
