What do you think you can do in the water?
We were allowed to experience it live today. Siem Reap is not only about amazing temples. It is also strategically located to waterways. Villagers went so far as to build a village on the water. Sounds unoriginal at first. Where's the catch? Answer: on the fishing rod 😇 😭
From the pictures, it can be guessed why these houses were built about 10m above the water level. From June to October, the rainy season fills the Mekong River and the adjacent Tonlé Sap Lake. With an excess of water, the lake floods adjacent rivers and streams. Trees 🌳 Python 🐍 Crocodiles 🐊 and Monkeys 🐒 then become a harmonious "water flatshare".
Starting tomorrow, 🚌 Time is on again. We are continuing on to Kratie, which is 8 hours away.
