The night was rather restless. We drag ourselves out of the hostel, exhausted, and are immediately approached by a man from Thurgau. He ran from Horn to Santiago in 77 days... impressive! Chatting, we take the hurdle of 12km and 300 meters of altitude a little easier. Once again, we feel like we're in Switzerland. The differences are obvious - all the cows have horns and, of course, the houses are made of stone. No traditional Appenzell houses.
