Farewell

Goodbye erasmus

What a Sunday! Not only was the sky gray, but there was no sign of dawn at 8:00 AM.

And then the farewell from “erasmus” in Dammerstock.

The “erasmus” was a bio-certified restaurant with an attached delicatessen in KA-Dammerstock, operated by the married couple Andrea and Marcello Gallotti until June 2025. Then came the end.

Even though we didn't visit often, it was always super tasty! I wasn't aware that it had an enchanted garden. We discovered that a few years ago on a bike tour through Karlsruhe. And there was also the wine terrace. Same entrance as the restaurant, then up the stairs to the right. Not only were there delicious wines, but we could also get tasty anti-pasti for two hungry people. And watch the sunset. After a long drive back from Travemünde, it was a perfect end to a trip.

Now there's a clearance of all the beautiful things that were simply part of the erasmus: glasses, carafes, plates, cake stands for the pralines with coffee/espresso, and many other lovely items. Our accompanying friend found two candle holders for outdoor lighting on her terrace. I also took a white/rosé wine box with me. Next summer will surely come, and then I can think of the erasmus with a delicious glass of wine on our terrace.

When the successors will start is still not decided. But if all the visitors today want to come, it should be a summer day, because this amount of visitors could only fit in a gymnasium. And the many little people surely want to enjoy the day outside in the garden.

As the new operators, FETTSCHMELZE and GOTTESAUER ECK will take over. The coffee will be provided by TOSTINO. And the whole thing will be called “dammerstock”. We wish the whole team a great start and many satisfied and enthusiastic people.
