Trip to Kuranda

Today was a day trip. That means getting up pretty early, but at least we were picked up right in front of the hotel. We took a bus to the Skyrail Station (cable car over the rainforest to Kuranda).

Once we arrived in Kuranda, we went straight to Koala Gardens. To see koalas, kangaroos, and more :)

On German Unity Day, we treated ourselves to a German snack in a German store.

We then rode back on the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway.

In the evening, we went to the whirlpool for a change.

Tomorrow won't be as exciting since our stay in Cairns is nearing its end and we still need to do laundry, get a SIM card, tidy up, etc. Only nice things tomorrow. Luckily, there's the whirlpool :)
