The Coromandel Peninsula ....

.... is beautiful.

On the first day, we explored the eastern side of the peninsula, including the lovely town of Tairua, the exclusive Paunanui (for the beautiful and wealthy from Auckland), and of course, Hot Water Beach. We returned through the wild Coromandel Forest.

On the second day, we drove along the coastal road on the western side from Thames to Coromandel Town .... a stunning road with breathtaking views. In Coromandel, we enjoyed plentiful smoked mussels and prawns. Perhaps this is one of the most beautiful coastal sections in the world.
