Bora-Bora ....

.... was our last station on the cruise with the ARANUI 5 and another highlight.

After arriving with a view of the distinctive mountain in the island's interior, we embarked on a three-hour journey through the lagoon of Bora-Bora. The first stop brought us back into 'familiar' territory with sharks and rays, the second stop showcased corals and many colorful fish. The third stop was reserved for swimming and a mini-picnic .... with the water changing colors between these stops.

This trip ended on a motu, where the crew of the ARANUI 5 served a fantastic barbecue.

From there, we took a boat - and taxi transfer to the helicopter .... but unfortunately, our flight had to be canceled due to increasingly poor weather.

Nevertheless, we had a lovely afternoon and evening 🌸

• with a beautiful sunset
• with an emotional musical farewell from the crew of the ARANUI 5, who provided us with unforgettable experiences
• with lovely conversations with new acquaintances from Gelbensande (Franka and Stephan) as well as Bremerhaven (Rainer and Sabine).

The trip with the ARANUI 5 will remain unforgettable for us 🌸

PS: The lagoon of Bora-Bora is beautiful, but it is now already overcrowded with too many water bungalow hotels, and further construction projects are underway.
