.... at least for the next few weeks. Then we will return to explore New Zealand more closely and for a longer period with a small camper van.
Today we wandered through Downtown and discovered a few little gems of Auckland: On one hand, the Saturday Britomart Market is worth highlighting .... located amidst new, mostly tall buildings, yet very beautifully designed, with food stalls from all over and a chill vibe. On the other hand, the Te Komititanga is noteworthy .... a place where street performers can regularly be seen. During our visit, an Italian puppeteer entertained the crowd.
In the evening, we stopped by the Captain's Bar at Viaduct Basin .... and enjoyed the view of Auckland's evening and night skyline.
Amidst all this, there were always beautiful views of the - mostly relatively young - architecture of Auckland, all dominated by the omnipresent Sky Tower.
But see for yourselves ....
