I have been in Brazil for 3 weeks now - that means halfway! I have experienced so much and made so many experiences here. It feels like I've been here for months. Since I haven't written a post in a week, I'll try to summarize the past few days: On Sunday, we went to a small town called São Bonifácio. Mary's uncle lives there and owns a beautiful holiday resort - with a river, horses, puppies, a natural water pool, and lots of hammocks 😄😍. A real place of relaxation. I would have loved to stay there for a whole week, but unfortunately, we had to go back on the same day. On Monday, we were able to witness a rare natural phenomenon, the so-called Halo effect (see photo). A rainbow forms around the sun and encloses it. 🌈 #magicalmoment. The work in the project is still a bit chaotic because not everything is going according to plan here either, but the children are amazing! They are so open-minded and have no fear of contact, which makes the work much more pleasant and easier. So far, we haven't been able to achieve any of our goals or plans. Currently, the work consists only of playing and supervising homework. However, I hope that it will be different next week.
