The Zachęta is one of the 'most ambitious art galleries in Poland' - as it is written. Zachęta means 'encouragement' or 'motivation', which is exactly what I need today. Off I go.. Here you can find video installations. There is a theory that the Polish Piast dynasty are actually Scandinavians. Researchers who support this theory are trying to prove it through genetic analysis of the remains of the princes Mieszko & Co. Madness! That's my introduction to the topic ;-) Then it starts: Chopin, Paderewski, Szymanowski, Maciejewski, Kilar, Zalewski (please repeat loudly),... then there is improvisation. A true Majster at the keyboard - only, he didn't think of the audience! The tonal space of the Mazurkas expands, piece by piece - but the rows of seats thin out equally (the people are quite szalone).
