After a short journey, we have reached Beijing. The traffic is unbelievable, it's just constant traffic jams even though the roads are 6-8 lanes wide. Lots of futuristic skyscrapers. Beijing once again exceeds all dimensions with its 20 million inhabitants. We now have 3 days to explore the city. The 35-degree heat doesn't make it any easier.
We started the sightseeing program with the Temple of Heaven, a landmark of the city. In the evening, we watched a Kung Fu show. It was really well done.
We stayed at the Kempinski hotel (with an in-house Paulaner brewery).

Das erinnert uns an unseren Aufenthalt in Peking im Oktober 2012. Damals hatten wir allerdings 2 Wochen Zeit, diese Mega-Stadt zu erkunden. Wir dachten danach, nichts ausgelassen zu haben. Aber das war sicher weit gefehlt.
