Alishan und Sun Moon Lake

The monkeys 🐵 were loose....

On a beautiful road through a great landscape and with a bright blue sky we went via Alishan through the national park up to an altitude of 2600 meters - during a short break we watched the cute monkeys - until one came closer, ran to my bike and hit it in front of it. Kai tried to scare the monkey away, then he hit him. The monkey jumped on my bike and scratched the bag with the bananas and trash - probably smelled good. I would have given him something, but I didn't dare go near it anymore. At some point my bike fell over due to the rattling on the bags and we took the opportunity to get away in no time. My heart was really pounding and I was glad we were gone. Everything remained intact except for the mesh compartment of my handlebar bag.

We only admired the next cute monkeys as we drove past...

The next day we went to Sun Moon Lake. Very beautiful landscape with a well-designed cycle path. But also very crowded! It then quickly takes on a fairground feel, as thousands of food and sales stalls are set up at each attraction and busloads of people are spat out there. Just alone in the forest, you push your way through narrow, crowded alleys, often with flashing lights and loud sound.

The last few days we head up the west coast and back to Taipei.
