After waking up, I immediately broke the shower. I wanted to turn the shower head more towards me and I already had the shower head in my hand. OMG! Ute, the crasher. After confessing at the reception, we had a good breakfast. Then we loaded the car and suddenly the car key was gone. Liz said to Mike, he was lying on the bed when I left, you must have taken it with you. He went back to the room, the beds were already stripped, but nothing. Unloaded the car again, all bags were opened - nothing. I asked if Mike had already checked his backpack? Oh, yes, of course, and Ralf too. For the last time, I open the backpack and reach into every little pocket and.... in a small inner pocket of the backpack was the key. So I made up for my faux pas from the morning. Now we went along the northwest coast to Stanley, a small town on a peninsula with a table mountain. It had to be overcome with a chairlift. Up there was a nice circular path with fantastic views of Bass Strait (strait between Australia and Tasmania). Super beautiful. Then we went back to Wynyard, where we had a delicious picnic. After that, we drove through the Tasmanian hinterland to Waratha Falls, our starting point for Cradle Mountain. A national park with great vegetation and spectacular mountains. Waratha Falls has a hotel with a pub, a post office, two gas stations, and a waterfall, otherwise 'dead trouser'. After a delicious dinner in the pub, we found enough rest to sleep.
