Santa Cruz-Monterey-Big Sur-Carmel by the Sea

We have driven part of Highway 1, which is the road that follows the west coast of the USA. Some of the section is closed due to landslides 😳 so today we drove a bit down and then returned to Monterey. Tomorrow we will continue to Los Angeles and will take the first stretch on the freeway to get back onto Highway 1 a bit further down.

After a fantastic lunch in Big Sur, we made a stop in Carmel by the Sea. All the houses look like they are taken from a fairy tale, surrounded by twisted trees and beautiful ocean. Here, Clint Eastwood was the mayor and Vilhelm Moberg finished writing
