A new hot day begins. Bright sunshine accompanies us to the hotel breakfast. Then we quickly hit the road and drive the 150 km to Sunset Volcano. Here we visit the informative exhibition at the NP Center. Since Regina is still not feeling well, only Beate and I undertake a small hike to a secondary crater. We continue on to Flagstaff and then to the Grand Canyon. We settle in Valle and head to the canyon in the late afternoon. Incredible this vastness, these light conditions, and the colored sandstone. I didn't expect to have such good views from the canyon rim. Tomorrow we will go downward into the canyon.
