I had two goals here:
The “La Recoleta” cemetery. A collection of mausoleums that is really worth seeing, the most famous of which is the grave of Eva “Evita” Peron. By the way, it's the only cemetery I know of where you have to pay an entrance fee (only by credit card!).
The bookstore "El Alteneo". A great bookstore located in a former theater. Brilliant!
Since I visited these destinations on foot, I got to know the city and its people up close. However, after five hours in the heat I had had enough and asked for a taxi to take me to the ship.
