And once again workshop
Just that same afternoon, Sebb took a detour on his way home to the classic car workshop around the corner. He suspected that the entrance would again be too low and the lifts...

We wanted to get a Marten repellent for Gary, as he would be parked for some time in different locations, it would be a disaster if a marten made its home in the engine compartment and chewed through all the cables and lines. So Sebb got a marten repellent at a large auto parts dealer and workshop chain. At the checkout, he asked his already often-repeated question again. The salesman asked for a minute and disappeared through the door to the workshop. Shortly thereafter, he returned with the familiar words that this workshop unfortunately did not have a suitable ramp, but here too, we again received a hint about a workshop that might be able to help.
The email with the documents had already been written once, so it was slightly modified and sent to the next email address. Two minutes later, the phone rang. Unfortunately, that couldn't be done, as they were dependent on spare parts from Fiat, but again we received a new recommendation with the words: “This is exactly the right address for such classic car repairs.”
This meant that we now had three parallel inquiries running.
Now it was enough with workshop for the moment.
Meanwhile, Ines had also extended her feelers and inquired within her broader acquaintance about auto workshops with expertise for Gary.
One of her colleagues, who himself had taken a sabbatical a few years ago and traveled around the world with his girlfriend, knew of a workshop in Brandis, which would be near the barn that Gary might be able to use for winter - a real stroke of luck.
Since Ines is always very sociable, she easily struck up a conversation with the owner of a self-built transporter parked on our street, asking where he had his car serviced. The friendly neighbor recommended a workshop near Halle/Saale. Logistically, it would certainly mean some effort whenever Gary needed repair or TÜV. On the other hand, it was at least a starting point, should it turn out that no one in Leipzig was capable and willing to take care of such a beautiful old campervan.
