Shortly after ten o'clock, we received a message from Poste France that our package had been delivered. We immediately went to the reception and picked up our eagerly awaited package. Breakfast had to wait. First, the repair had to be done.
When we opened the small parcel, we were in for a big surprise. In addition to the spare parts, there were not only the two books that Sebb had wished for from the home library, but also two jars of jam, band-aids, and a package for entertainment inside. So many kind greetings from the family were simply wonderful!
The replacement of the gas struts was completed after about an hour, everything fit perfectly, and at last, our bed worked as it should again.
Now it was time for the - now very late - breakfast. To celebrate the day, we had baked beans in tomato sauce and fried eggs.
Afterward, Gary was vacuumed, all carpets and runners were shaken out, and everything was tidied up again. After the afternoon nap, we emptied the waste tank and the toilet cassette, topped up the drinking and flushing water, and prepared for our departure tomorrow.
Since Thursday, we had been in one place, tomorrow it would be six days. Considering our travel rhythm so far, the stay felt quite long.
We took another shower - who knew when that would be possible again - and had another delicious meal on the beachfront at 'Chez René'. This time we were offered 'large beers', meaning 1/2 L, which was quite extraordinary since normal beer here in France was only 1/4 L.
We settled on the beach until sunset just before 9:00 PM and watched the waves.
