What a day 🦎

The day starts with blue skies.

On the way to the ferry we do two hikes.

1. To the Lagoa do Capitão. The ground is very muddy after all the rain, but the journey was definitely worth it. The volcano is reflected so beautifully in the lake.
2. To a cave "on the way". A marker on Google Maps. First we walk past it - there is nothing signposted... Then we find the Lava Höhe. A bit scary without a guide, but also exciting.

The crossing to Faial is very relaxed.

We really like the new accommodation and hope that we can spend a lot of time on the two terraces.

We have actually seen a lot of lizards. But never before so many as today! The photo with the lava wall is a search image. We found at least 20 🦎.

And it went on like that all day, there was scurrying everywhere.
