Today I had booked another tour, the mountain lakes and waterfalls day trip from Banff. For this, I had to wake up at 7 am to be outside the hostel by 8 am. There were already two other girls waiting outside the hostel in the cold (about -4 degrees Celsius and light snow), who had also booked the tour. Karina from Denmark and Charlotte from London.
Our tour started with the news that some highlights unfortunately could not be visited due to the weather. But Mitch and Louis (our guides) took us to other viewpoints that were not included.
First, we went to Lake Louise again and as luck would have it, it started snowing heavily. Nevertheless, it was beautiful once again.
Next, we headed towards Yoho National Park, crossing the Kicking Horse Pass. Our stops were the Spiral Tunnels (train tunnels through the Rockies) and the Natural Bridge.
The Natural Bridge was incredible, the colors were amazing.
Around 12:30, we had lunch at a lodge by Emerald Lake. By the way, the weather had completely changed. We had around 7 degrees and sunshine 🙌
After lunch, we had some time to explore the area. Then, we headed back towards Banff.
