I ultimately chose the sea so that my swimming trunks can see some light. I rode through Transnistria again, on endless walnut alleys and through huge, unfortunately not yet blooming, sunflower fields, towards Odessa, the easternmost point and the turning point of my journey to Satoka. From now on, it's back westward. Oh yeah, my toll receipt from yesterday is still valid today and the customs clearance was much more relaxed today. When leaving, the machine had to be presented. Marka? Kubik? Windscreen fine? 👍🏻 Nodding Xaxascho.
However, the day didn't start well. I left my provisions in the refrigerator, burned the good Dynamoland patch on the manifold, almost skidded off at 100 km/h in a rut, just barely held on to the bike, the tires were already scraping sideways and I was already leaning over the road while the Guzzi kept going straight. Then the entire speedometer failed, no speed, which is not so tragic, but also the odometers are dead, from now on there is no information about the distance traveled and I have no orientation for the fuel tank, I just have to trust the lamp or the feeling. At first, I thought the speedometer cable had broken, but it turned out that a part (a worm gear) had flown out of the sensor, so the road and the shaking did take their toll after all.
Well, I was a bit annoyed and didn't feel like staying in Odessa, so I just drove through. The Russian cities are also becoming increasingly boring with their crazy traffic, so I went to Satoka, where I am staying with Elena today. Very nice property. 5 minutes to the beach, which I headed straight to, to let off some steam in the water 🏝️
Tomorrow, I will head back to the EU 🇪🇺 Romania is waiting for me.
