The rugged ascent from Valldemosa to Deja

Today we first took the bus from our starting point in Estellencs to Valdemossa. We wanted to skip the stages that aren't very interesting. Upon arriving in Valdemossa, we started with a quick refreshment (great cafe) and then it was all uphill. After that, it got steep and rocky. The path was lined with oak trees, which had the advantage of providing shade most of the time. From the summit, we continued on narrow and very stony paths along the rocks, feeling like it was an endless journey towards Deja. From there, we were able to catch the last bus to our accommodation in Port Soller after covering 13.5 km and only 630 meters of elevation gain, which were challenging. Tomorrow promises to be a challenging stage, we'll see.
