I had to sell my beloved Zetty for less than it was worth. You remember. Customs would have cost $8000. Completely crazy.
I still regret it to this day. So unfortunate. But there's always something.
The roads here are very different. Some are better than in Germany, while others are really bad.
A roadster wasn't an option here. Those things sit too low to the ground.
Here's the compromise. A 220 BMW convertible.
No roadster feeling, but at least it's a convertible.

Cars are different. They cost double, but the money isn't gone.
Today was the big moment. My car agent went to Buenos Aires and picked up the BMW. He is now registering it for me. In 2-3 days, the 220 could be at my door.

Das die Strassen in Argentinien besser sind als in Deutschland halte ich für eine sehr gewagte aussage.
Noch nie habe ich in einem Land so schlechte Strassen im gesamten gesehen als in Argentinien.
Und wir sind von Aires bis nach Rio Gallegos und zurück hoch nach Bariloche… es war die Hölle für Fahrzeug und alle beteiligten. Das Land ist am ende, bezüglich der Infrastruktur. thorsteninargentinien7 months ago
Ich denke hier an die Straße von Chapadmalal nach Mar del Plata. Diese ist nämlich hervorragend.

Das mag sein, dafür sind die von dem Rest im Land einfach nur kaputt. Wir mussten gut 500km Umweg fahren da die Strasse von El Chaltén in dem Norden schlicht nicht befahrbar war. Der Zustand der Strassen ist einfach im gesamten Land katastrophal, und es wird nichts getan, nach Streichung der Gelder. Die Menschen dort tun mir nur einfach leid, unter den Bedingungen als trucker/ Busfahrer zuarbeiten ist die Hölle. Die Infrastruktur liegt danieder, so wird das nix mit Wirtschaftswachstum wenn der Transport faktisch zur Herkules Aufgabe wird. Tragisch. Fatale (Neoliberale) Politik. Alex7 months ago
