Today we continue inland through the vast cattle stations of the Pilbara region. The sparsely populated Pilbara Desert is characterized by its red earth and rich mineral deposits. In the afternoon, we drive through the town of Tom Price, known for iron ore mining. From our campsite, we have a view of the Hamersley Range in Karijini. In the evening, we take a short hike into the nearby gorge and then enjoy the beautiful sunset from the edge of the gorge.
