D-Day+6: Australia feeling for the first time

Published: 10.09.2017

Despite it being Sunday, we woke up at 8 o'clock. That was devilishly difficult, but we really wanted to have the breakfast offered by the hostel. Long story short, it was very mediocre. But what can you expect? Anyway. We snacked quickly and then went to Sea Life with the backpackers.

It was really awesome there. But a bit too small for the price. Nevertheless, all the animals were really cool to see. Especially the sharks and penguins. There was also a crocodile, but it was very passive. Just as you know them. It was also nice to watch a 4D short film about Ice Age. Our motto at Sea Life was also 'take everything for the 33 dollars'. So we thoroughly enjoyed every aquarium, colored something in the children's corner, and also did the children's stamp tour. Some really cool pictures were taken there.

Then, for the first time, we went to the beach with two other Germans. And luckily, the sun was shining. That was the first time we really felt the Australian vibe. Especially with the beautiful palm trees and the amazing panoramic view. It was really awesome.

Then it was dinner time. I took the kitchen spoon and conjured up a delicious meal. It was pasta with some kind of sauce. 5-star quality. Really top-notch. TV chefs would have been jealous.

In the evening, we played cards again and chatted a bit foolishly. It was quite cool.

So today was a rather relaxed day, but it was Sunday after all.
