D-Day: The Landing

After 2 exhausting flights, we landed in Melbourne around 6 pm. The flights were tough, but there was also a nice selection of movies that made time fly by. (Haha. Yeah, that was cheesy...) After the short airport stress, we were picked up as planned, by Michael, Anneliese's brother, where we can crash for a while. She is somehow a distant relative of Mihan's. Michael kindly invited us for a beer, some IPA. It tasted really good, but beer always does it for me. After that, we went to buy SIM cards and have Turkish food. The food wasn't that cheap, but that's almost never the case here in Australia. After the meal, I realized that I had lost my credit card. Or at least I thought so. After about 30 nerve-wracking minutes, I finally found the card in my pocket, even though I had already searched it multiple times. Or at least I thought so. Mentally fucked by the flights, we went home to our extremely nice host family. We chatted for a bit and then went to sleep. The arrival couldn't have gone any better.
