Edward and Julia pick me up at the hostel early in the morning and we head to the beautiful Bogove waterfall. We are rewarded for getting up early: apart from 2 older Albanians, there is no one there yet, so Edward and I can plunge into the admittedly ice-cold waters alone. What a refreshment at what a magical waterfall! The Albanians naturally think we're pretty crazy... When the first other tourists arrive, we head off to Osumi Canyon.
It's exciting to cross the canyon with the light blue water, sometimes we walk on small sand banks, sometimes we swim in deep water.
However, our road tour is anything but easy for Edward, as we keep coming across "roads" that are not accessible with our rental car and he then has to make a U-turn on a serpentine in the middle of the mountains. In the end we have to take a detour of 4 hours and only reach our very nice guesthouse including breakfast for €10 per person per night in Permet shortly before sunset.
The next morning we head to the hot springs, which aren't quite as spectacular as expected, especially since they aren't hot😅.
In the afternoon we part ways again in Gjirokaster. However, I took the tip from them to meet up with Markus during his autumn holidays on Menorca for a hike around the island.
