Stupid ideas part I: Ski resorts in summer - Popova Shopka / North Macedonia

Short tour description, because practically nothing happened.
After a bus and taxi ride, we arrive in Popova at the foot of the eponymous mountain, surrounded by ski lifts that stand still in the summer but still spoil the landscape.
No hiking routes, maps or markings to be found. So we climb the nearest hill, set up our tent (second dumb idea: cold 7C at night in a summer sleeping bag), and look forward to a starry sky in the mountains. Unfortunately, the clouds spoil our plans, so we pack up the next day and hitchhike on the road. Any destination will do, just get away.
Conclusion: Even though the photos look nice, Popova Shopka wasn't for us. But that may just mean that on that day we weren't able to get anything good out of the place for ourselves...
At least the first car stops. Ida, an Albanian living in Hamburg who is hosting her daughter's wedding in Skopje, gives us a ride back to Skopje.
