Wanaka - First time hitchhiking

As mentioned before, we are trying hitchhiking for the first time on the West Coast. So we positioned ourselves in Queenstown at a good spot on the road to Wanaka. And lo and behold....after less than 10 minutes, we were picked up by a nice young couple who were also heading to Wanaka.

In Wanaka, we spent the afternoon by the lake, enjoying the beautiful weather and playing Rummikub. :) Yes, life is good. The fire on the hill next to Wanaka the night before was a bit alarming. The helicopters were still busy transporting water.

Next, we're heading to Fox Glacier where we want to do the two-day Copland Track nearby.
