The Wednesday started at 8:15 am for all newcomers of the International Dormitory, and the aftereffects of jet lag and the occasional beer from the previous evening spread. But there wasn't much time to be tired in the end, as we took the tram two stops further towards the city center, where we got off at 'Kandai', so the way to the university shouldn't be too complicated. Our program consisted of three parts: a presentation about life as a student in Japan with various information for everyday life, a placement test for the Japanese courses, and a tour of the campus, the latter being the most impressive experience. I have never seen a more beautiful and greener campus, with different trees everywhere, of course, the white flowering cherry blossom trees currently stand out and look incredibly beautiful in combination with the bright blue sky. The weather is currently really great, 22 degrees, blue sky, light breeze (in comparison, Göttingen: 4 degrees, gray and drizzling rain). The entire campus is very big and has various modern buildings and sports facilities, with the connecting paths being very wide and framed with trees. After our program, it was already 4 o'clock and we briefly went to a 'Konbini' (100 yen store, where you can find everything) and then back to the dormitory, where a presentation was scheduled for half past 5. Here are some impressions of the campus.
