Aieta

An ancient charming village in the mountains of Praia a Mare. In the morning, a bus takes us to Aieta, located 14 km away at an elevation of 524m above sea level, with a population of 765. Most of the residents are older people. It is one of the oldest and most beautiful places in Italy. We felt very comfortable and were delighted by the village. After exploring the entire village, we enjoyed espresso, cappuccino, or a glass of wine. Afterward, the bus takes us back to the campsite. Quickly put on our swimwear and into the sea we go.....what a pleasure.

Some in the group relax, while others get sporty. Boules is on the agenda...two groups of two are playing. Who will win? Afterward, a briefing ensues followed by a three-course menu of Fusilli with minced meat or Spaghetti Frutti di Mare. Next comes either cod with potatoes and salad or pork chop, and for dessert, sorbet.

The ninth day of travel comes to an end.
