Temaikén is a biopark in Escobar, Buenos Aires Province. The name means 'Land of Life' in the Tehuelche language (an indigenous group in Patagonia). The park itself is over 34ha in size and is divided into 4 main areas: Africa, Asia, autochthonous, and Aquarium. The autochthonous area aims to showcase the flora and fauna of the region and raise awareness among Argentinians about the nature of their country.
The non-profit organization Temaikén was founded in 2002.
