After a decent night, the mission was to pack up. I thought we started with breakfast around 8 o'clock and left around 11:30. We still need to optimize that a bit.
At least we were able to practice without rain.
During the drive, it quickly became very rainy, which wasn't good for the consumption. Then a stone flew onto the windshield. There are small depressions at the impact site, but the windshield doesn't seem to be cracked. I hope it holds up.
The attempt to bypass the traffic jam by going through Antwerp was not very successful. The Belgians drove even worse there than on the highway.
So we couldn't reach the destination Dunkirk before the closing time of the campgrounds' offices and therefore had to go to Bredene near Oostende.
It's very crowded here, but you can walk to the beach and the supermarket.
Today we're switching tents, so far the ground tent is warmer.
Plus points today:
- Avoided rain, it was dry when we arrived
- Been to the seaside
- Windshield held up
An attempt to charge today was unsuccessful. It worked out well at Fastned. The campground is providing electricity again.
Distance today: 258 km
Consumption: 30.4 kWh per 100
Cost: 16.44 euros (only the one at the charging station, it's included at the campsite)
