Tag 4 - The Chaotic Day – Travelogue

We were lucky! The place we chose for the night was only a few meters away from the coast, and we were able to admire the beauty of the Norwegian coast for the first time. After breakfast, we decided to quickly continue driving and find a suitable spot for 2-3 days.[/uploads/fef8f090-7235-11e7-8145-e35a82eb17f6.jpg_large.jpg]We drove along the southern coast and searched for a spot in the wilderness about 50 kilometers away... but we found nothing. Desperately, we drove around exploring all the options. We found a place on a small sandy beach in the town of Mandal on the internet. When we arrived, we saw a concrete parking lot in the middle of the city: impossible to set up a tent here.In our desperation, we decided to drive back a few kilometers to camp at the southernmost point of Norway [/en/destination/594e6be97412bcbe3fea260a/norway] and visit the Lindesnes Lighthouse.We were able to see the lighthouse and the view was beautiful.[/uploads/e04c47c0-7238-11e7-8145-e35a82eb17f6.JPG_large.jpg] However, there was no place to sleep here either.The whole parking lot was filled with tourist buses.Now we also lost internet access, and with it, any possibility of finding free sleeping spots.We spent 5 hours driving around aimlessly and without a plan.In the end, tiredness forced us to head to a campground.This campground was near Farsund and fortunately located by a beautiful lake.Frustrated, we cooked, set up everything, and tried to make the best of the evening.The weather improved and we had a cozy evening at the campground.As the next step, we planned out the next 4 days completely and also fixed our little internet problem.The missing coffee in the morning was most likely the trigger for this day...
