Last night in Perth

Published: 19.08.2016

Before I write about Darwin in my next post, I wanted to show you a few pictures of our room in the hostel in Perth and talk about our last night there (see image descriptions). There weren't many people in the hostel during that time of year, and even after just a few days, we almost knew everyone. And Ruben, a traveler from the Netherlands, had his birthday on Wednesday. So, in the evening, we all sat in the lobby, drank Australian beer, and celebrated his 32nd birthday. It was really cool! And I even liked the beer because it wasn't too strong. Ruben was very happy that there were at least a few people to spend the evening with him :D When you travel the world alone, you can never be sure of that.

We sat together for quite a while even though Andi and I set the alarm for 4:15 am the next day. We immediately felt the lack of sleep when we woke up :D

But everything worked out fine, we were at the airport on time, and the flight was also punctual. It was really cool to fly over the Outback because it was during the day and we could see things. And for me, everything didn't look the same, there were amazing patterns to see from up there in the earth. And the approach to Darwin was also great because you could see the coast and the blue water so well.

The next stop is with stories from Darwin :)
