Party, Check-Out, Departure

Daniel was in a deep sleep from 00:05 yesterday, unable to be woken up. Kathi then went down again at 01:30 after packing her bag, but was also in bed by 2 because the DJ party wasn't really that exciting. After the final breakfast, we took some last photos of the room and the view. The lobby was already completely decorated back to its standard state, and the brunch buffet was being prepared. We couldn't take that with us anymore, but that’s okay. Gaining 7 kilograms in 2 days is certainly more than enough and needs to come off. So, the first resolution for the new year was set. Nevertheless, today we were able to try some new delicacies: marble cake, chocolate croissants, chicken sausages, sautéed mushrooms, pancakes, and a dip called Sambal Oelek. Kathi could take juice in whole bottles today, but the waffle had to be freshly ordered since there were pancakes on the buffet. Of course, at the Adlon, they make sure you always sit somewhere different. Therefore, today we didn’t sit in the library but on the Bel Etage above the lobby, which had a completely different ambiance, very nice. After our very relaxed check-out at 11, we then went to the Berlin Central Station together. Our trains both depart from platform 14 and are on time. Kathi's reserved seat is all the way at the back, right in front of the service room, a separate compartment with 8 seats, 4 of which are occupied by conductors, 3 seats are free and Kathi's. Kathi booked something really cool. Aside from the unfortunate scale, it was an absolutely worthwhile experience and we would do it again anytime!
