Day 3: Port Angeles, Hurricane Ridge

Our goal on Day 3 was to visit Olympic National Park for the first time and possibly go for a short hike in nature.

Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center was about 1 hour away from Port Angeles. We were greeted by beautiful mountain scenery and a great panorama. The vegetation strongly reminds us of the Black Forest and the mountains somewhat resemble Austria :)

The short 1-hour hike opened up the view towards Port Angeles and the sea. We also encountered a not at all shy deer standing 2 meters away from the trail.

Starting tomorrow, we will be on the west coast. Our destinations are Rialto Beach, Hoh River, and Ruby Beach.
