Unfortunately, there isn't much to write today. I've caught a cold, and I also had chills last night. As a result, I mostly slept during the drive to Mackinaw City.
We briefly stopped in Traverse City, the Cherry Capital. There are apparently 3 million cherry trees here.
Our first stop was in Charlevoix. We strolled through the farmers' market and grabbed a sandwich at Subway. We then headed to Mackinaw City via Petoskey, Bay View, Harbor Springs, and Cross Village. We took the historic M119 road, also known as the Tunnel of Trees. This road is a 32 km long, narrow, winding tree-lined avenue, whose overhanging branches create a sort of natural tunnel. Shortly after 4 PM, we arrived at our hotel, the Clearwater Frontlake Motel. After a short visit to the beach, we both took a nap. We woke up at 8 PM and quickly drove to a brewery for dinner.
