Today, we first had a chance to sleep in. Breakfast came from Starbucks, with real coffee and a roll with egg, cheese, and ham. After that, we bought a day pass for public transportation under difficult circumstances. Unfortunately, the credit card didn't work, and we didn't have appropriate change. Once we finally had the day pass in our hands, we decided to walk anyway. First, we went to Hertz, where, despite Matthias's horror stories in his mind, everything was no problem. We returned the car key and that was it.
Afterward, we wanted to go to Millennium Park, but instead opted for the Riverwalk and a boat ride. We had purchased the Chicago City Pass that morning. This included an architectural boat tour. It started at Navy Pier and was very nice and especially interesting. After that, we lounged a bit at Navy Pier and then took another stroll there.
We returned to the hotel by public transport. Around 7:30 PM, we went out again for dinner. We found a small restaurant very close to the hotel. There, we shared a Caesar salad and pasta with Bolognese sauce. It was absolutely delicious, and the pasta was even homemade.
