Ronda

Published: 06.12.2023

We quickly decided to make our way to Ronda, where we had already been 10 years ago. The road to Ronda has obviously been expanded, so it's a relaxed serpentine drive over the high mountains with great views. It was noticeably cooler and pusterier here than on the coast.

The view from the balcony of the accommodation was great. Here too it was uphill and downhill, up and down stairs, sometimes really steep, which we had to endure so that we could fully enjoy the spectacular views of the bridges that connect the old town with the new town of Ronda; -) Actually, we had seen everything before, but it is still always great to stand in front of these impressive buildings. In order to fulfill the "cultural quota", a visit to an Arabic bath (hammam) is of course also part of the tourist program. Another legacy of the Moors were the delicious sweets and pastries, the quality of which we were able to convince ourselves of again in Ronda.

On the day of departure it was gray and the fog was quite thick in the mountains. As soon as we had crossed the mountains, the sun greeted us again on the way towards Torrox.
