Marrakesh

Now we urgently need a vacation, so we decided to fly to Marrakesh. It's only an hour's flight from Malaga. We arrive in the evening and are picked up at the airport, as the riad would be difficult to find in the medina's maze of alleys, and that was the case. Marrakesh is full of people and noisy, something we are not used to anymore, although there are different means of transport used for different purposes.

In the souks you can find all kinds of food and daily needs, but the presentation sometimes takes a lot of getting used to. Most spices and foods are offered unpackaged, which is hard to imagine for us. It's difficult to orient yourself in the souks and their sales streets and we easily managed to walk in circles on the way home :-).

If you want to have some peace and quiet from all the hustle and bustle and "speeches" from the traders, there are beautiful green oases such as the Secret Garden or the Jardin Majorelle (YSL) to linger. Then we go to the next round in another souk or a market. We already have our favorite washing machine :-) Mint tea is a must when visiting Morocco, as are the sweet treats from our trusted bakery.
