The heart of the West Coast
We have been in Greymouth, 'the heart of the West Coast', for 2 days now, as the city is often referred to, with a population of just 13,500, it is the largest on the West...

The one week in Greymouth is now (fortunately) over. It wasn't that bad, it was just a shock at the beginning when we found out that we would be staying alone in the hostel for a whole week and on top of that, our car had to go to the workshop and was unusable there until yesterday (so for 5 whole days!). So, we could only explore the area on foot, which compared to others doesn't offer that much anyway. However, yesterday afternoon our car was fortunately ready to drive again and we were able to go to Lake Brunner, a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains. Today we continue along the West Coast and we will camp for a few more nights, hopefully the weather will cooperate:)
