Halftime 🕖

Published: 30.11.2024

Dear all,

Just in time for the end of the month, here's a new update from my life. ☺️

I'm picking up where I left off. I wouldn't be able to manage without my gallery. 😅😂 It always provides me with good orientation.

But first, here's something to celebrate: today I'm publishing my 100th blog post. 🥳 I'm amazed myself that I'm doing this so consistently. You are my motivation! 🥹😇

Well, let's get started… Let's begin with my birthday at the end of October. My parents came to visit. So I had someone to celebrate with after all. 😊 We went out for Indian food with my flatmate. 🍚 On Saturday, we actually went to a lake. It wasn't a new lake for me, but I thought we'd go to Walchensee again because it's so beautiful. 😍

The following weekend, I attended a faith conference in Memmingen (Allgäu) with a few friends. Unfortunately, I was a bit under the weather, making the weekend quite exhausting. Still, it was very nice! ☺️

The week after that, I received some unpleasant news from my parents. My grandma was getting increasingly worse and she actually passed away shortly after. 😪 It's quite strange to suddenly be confronted with death. It's always a loss that you have to come to terms with, but I’m glad to have the hope of life after death, and that it wasn't the last time I saw her. 🤗

That weekend was also the women's retreat at my flatmate's church, for which I was registered. After receiving such news, my thoughts were obviously elsewhere and I couldn't really engage fully in the retreat and the many women there. Nevertheless, it distracted me a little. 🙂

You can probably guess where I was the following weekend. I went to my aunt's in Selb, where my grandma's funeral took place. I find saying goodbye and funerals really awful—mainly due to the atmosphere—but I wanted to pay my last respects to her and face my fears.

On Thursday (21.11.), I visited the Taff editorial office and was allowed to watch a live broadcast. When I posted a photo with Rebecca Mir and Daniel Aminati in my story, I received a lot of reactions and inquiries. So, I didn't actually film anything with them—although it may have seemed that way. I was really just an observer. Suddenly, Rebecca asked if we'd like to take a photo. I thought, why not, since they were offering, and then she handed me the Taff cards. 🙃

My next exciting opportunity will be another recording. Next Thursday, I'll be attending the Galileo recording, and in mid-December, I'll be featured on „Abenteuer Leben“ for a week.

Now back to my extra role. The commercial has already aired. 🙌🏻 However, I didn't mention it because I wasn't really included in it. I was seen very briefly at the end, but only on the very edge. Unfortunately, that's the nature of extra roles—there's never a guarantee you'll appear in it. I had a second extra role for the show 'Achtung Abzocke', which is set to air at the end of February. I should be visible in that one. But that's still a bit away. 😃 The most important thing for me is to gain impressions and experience.

So far, I've had the chance to meet celebrities like Uwe Ochsenknecht, Heiner Lauterbach, Palina Rojinski, Rea Garvey, Matthias Opdenhövel, Matthias Killing, Rebecca Mir, and Daniel Aminati. Let's see how much I can expand this list. 😜

Since it seems I'm away every weekend, I was also out and about last weekend. I visited my friends and my flat share in Ansbach. 🤗 I stayed over at a dear friend's place for two nights because my room is rented out. I arrived on Friday evening, and not much happened then. 😂

On Saturday, we did some shopping in Ansbach, and of course, I had to stop by at my work (the photo shop). They were genuinely pleased. 😉 They were surprised as well and said they’d love for me to come back as soon as possible. 😅 In the evening, we went to the church's youth meeting.

On Sunday morning, we attended the church service, and then I headed back to the shared apartment. It was great to reconnect with some of them. I was a bit shocked at how it looked. 🙈 It's definitely time for me to return and restore some order. 😉 Three new people have moved in since I left. I'm telling you: This shared apartment resembles a hostel. 😂

Christmas time has arrived, so Christmas markets are on my to-do list for the coming weeks. 🎄 Are you in the Christmas spirit yet? I'm not really there yet… Maybe that will change. 😄 We've certainly had snow here in Munich already. ❄️⛄️

In 2 1/2 weeks, I will be on my way home (NRW). I will celebrate Christmas with my parents in Germany for the last time. 🥲🇩🇪 They are emigrating to Africa on December 31. It’s unbelievable! I still haven’t fully processed it… so now you know where I’ll be vacationing next year. 😂

I was able to postpone the one exam I failed to the summer semester. Luckily—less stress for me. Although I think the summer semester will be quite full. Considering I will also start my Bachelor's degree next year. That’s definitely the plan. 👍🏻

I often catch myself worrying about the future, and a verse comes to my mind: “Cast all your cares upon God because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

I wish for you to experience this! 😃 - and with that, I would like to conclude this blog post.

Have a peaceful Christmas season, and see you in December for the next blog entry. ✌🏻🙋🏼‍♀️
