Venice ☀️🇮🇹

Welcome to Venice. The city of bridges and canals. 🇮🇹❤️🚤

At 8:00 AM we took the bus to the port, where we shortly after docked in Venice. The city is breathtakingly beautiful. And clean. No matter which alley we walked down, there wasn’t a crumb on the ground. The water wasn’t the cleanest, but okay. 👌🏻 Leading to the hundreds of bridges were usually a few steps, which made crossing with a stroller quite difficult! Question: what do wheelchair users do? 👨‍🦽 🧐 Do they just not visit the city? .. 

But the city still convinced us. In every alley, there are small local eateries, restaurants, bars, ice cream shops, and stores. Alongside Gucci, Prada & Co., there's obviously something for smaller budgets as well. The prices for food and such are pleasant. The focus of the city and its tourists is clearly on the museums, churches & cathedrals. ⛪️ We visited a few and marveled at what was built back then. 

What we must clearly state is to avoid the city in mid-summer if you have kids with you. Besides ours, we saw many families whose children had the same issue as ours. The heat at 36 degrees was unbearable and exhausting for the little ones. Besides all the ice cream and cold drinks, only the shops with their air conditioning provided relief. Which, of course, is noticeable in cramped spaces. 

All in all, would love to go again. ❤️ Just not in mid-summer and without a stroller. 😉😀⛪️☀️🇮🇹❤️🚤
