The Wild Carrot is known as a Central European plant with a spicy scent and supposedly bristly hair. Near me, however, it feels rather soft and smooth.
It accompanies me on all paths. The longer the distance, the more intense its spice, especially in the lower stem area - comparable to the aroma of salty popcorn. Especially in the evening, it sprawls out on the sofa.
The Wild Carrot roots heartwarmingly deep and is often, more than I can prevent, irresistibly sweet. But that doesn’t seem to bother it.
It goes through a lot with me and vice versa.
It is even said to have a life-protecting effect. But it prefers to stay on the ground - it doesn’t need to be taller than a tree stump.
Sometimes it curls up to rest or reflect. At other times, it blooms and leaps towards life.
Most of all, never without you, you wild wondrous being.
